Matter Communications, a firm focused on the hi-tech and consumer markets, has acquired ThinkMedia Partners, a boutique PR, social media, and marketing agency. Andrew Gowers has been named director of external relations at the?Association for Financial Markets, a European lobby organization whose members consist of European and U.S. banks. Bill McCue has been promoted to VP at The North 6 Agency, responsible for daily firm operations and new business development. He?ll also continue to work on media relations programs across the country. He was previously an account director at North 6, had his own firm, McCuenications,?and worked at?Dukas Public Relations.
Amy Cofone has joined Emanate as director of integrated marketing in New York. She was previously at sister firm Ketchum, where she ?was the North American relationship manager for Philips and worked Norelco, IKEA, Kodak, and a number of other clients. At Emanate, she will continue her work with Philips as well as working with other clients.
Kye Strance has joined Critical Mention as SVP of product development, a new position. Strance was previously at Vocus, working with that company since 1998. At Critical Mention, he?ll work on the company?s broadcast intelligence offerings and those services in the advertising and research areas.
